Anglesey

One of my oldest friends lost her grandmother last year. Her parents inherited the house in Anglesey that had been in the family for over a hundred years. They have spent the last year moderning the house and it is beautiful.

They are now letting friends use it, so the boy and I fancied a little weekend away. I'd never been to Anglesey before, and realised that despite living 30 minutes from the border, I hadn't been to Wales for over 3 years!

I came down with a cold while there, which was miserable but I was in the right place for some rest and relaxation. We had a lovely walk in the rain and wind, stopping for hot chocolate.

Before dinner I had a lovely hour or so in the worlds best bath while the boy got the fire going downstairs.

On our way home we drove through Snowdonia and I hope to visit here again soon.

All in all, it was a pretty perfect weekend and I can't wait to spend another weekend there.

Tuesday's Latte

Tuesday was payday which means two things:
1.) I'm always reluctant to actually spend my money
2.) I'm always allowed a Starbucks

But yesterday, I did treat myself. I bought a pair of boots from Primark and was even more surprised that when I got home they fitted and looked great.

I also slipped to Starbucks and did not have a latte, but a grande skinny caramel mac. Iced, because of this freaky heatwave we're having. It will soon be time to say goodbye to Iced Caramel Macs. But I hear the red cups are coming.

I can't wait for winter. I want to wear my new boots. And drink Gingerbread Lattes.

Starting Over

Last year, I started this blog but didn't know what direction it would take. It didn't take any. The posts were irrelevant to the blog's title. I've deleted the old posts. I'm starting over. September always seems a good chance to start over. Its the start of my favourite season.

Today's loveliness is an afternoon at home, with a brew and toasted tea cake. I may even start planning my trip to New York
